Got Hope?

Joneen M. Horton
Let me encourage you today, to place your hope in God and you will not be disappointed.

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines hope as; 1 to desire with expectation of obtainment; 2 to expect with confidence.

Read the following scriptures:

  1. “For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.”  (Psalm 71:5, KJV)
  1. “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”  (Jeremiah 29:11, AMPC)
  1. “Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”  (1 Peter 1:2, KJV)
  1. “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”  (Romans 15:13, KJV)

Do you have hope?  In whom or what do you place that hope?  Maybe you have been hurt in the past and have let go of your hope.  Been there, done that, have the t-shirt!

Let me encourage you today, to place your hope in God and you will not be disappointed. Delays may occur and how you have planned for things to work out may occur differently than you expected; yet know that your confidence in God is not misplaced. He is the One who will surely comfort you, deliver you, restore you, prosper you, and heal you …whatever you need.  He is El Shaddai (see Exodus 6:2-3), God Almighty!

Meditate on the above scriptures until you are convinced that God is a God of hope.  Don’t give up, stand strong and have hope in God.
