Encouragement for the Soul

July 2010

A day at the spa is both refreshing and rejuvenating; it's the perfect blend of peace and serenity, a place to unwind and recharge.  You leave the spa feeling energized and ready to tackle the world.  The question is; "what do you do to maintain that feeling between your visits?"

Let's take a look at what can help you stay in peak performance.

1. What are you thinking about?

Focus on what you're thinking about most throughout your day.  If you're focusing on negative information, events, and people that will be a huge energy drain.

2. Take a look at what you're saying.

You've heard that "what you see is what you get" likewise what you say is what you get.  Do your best to speak positive even when it seems like all heck is breaking out around you.

3. Finally, who are you spending your time with?

Association brings on assimilation.  Surround yourself with positive uplifting people and you too can be a positive presence in the life of others.

A few moments each day to assess what you're thinking about, talking about and who you're hanging out with can keep you motivated and energized. Challenge yourself to bring the peace and serenity of the spa with you everywhere you go.

Peace.

To provide an understanding of living by faith.
God honors the covenant of marriage and He has shown us repeatedly that He is for us. He has surrounded us with friends, family, Pastors who build us up and encourage us to hold on to the covenant.
The greatest lesson I have learned is; at times I must "Be still, and know that [He is] God: [He] will be exalted among the heathen, [He] will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)
