My last
few blog posts discussed creating a vision board. Have you started yours yet? I placed my vision board on the wall next to
my bed; as soon as I open my eyes I can see it…then after I grab my glasses, I
can actually read it. J
The
first thing I have noticed is that my sons will come into my room to stare at my
vision board. My three year old points
out the people he recognizes, and my six year old reads the words aloud. This was important to me because of what
Habakkuk 2:2 says:
"…Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets
that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he
hastens by."
Lesson one: Those who love and support you will run with the vision.
Praise God!
After a few days of studying my vision board, I looked at it and
said: "faith without works is dead." (See James 22:17-24) I had put off a lot
of things that I needed to do in order to walk in the promises God has given. The children of Israel had Canaan when God
promised it to them, yet they had to go in and take possession of that Promised
Land.
Lesson two: Do something. Seek God and move in accordance. What's
the last instruction He gave you? The promise has been made, go and take it.
My sons
had to write down three goals for the month of June (summer
homeschooling). I asked where they
wanted to put them so they could see them.
They answered;" by our beds so we can see them when we wake up". Hallelujah!
I never told them that's why I put my vision board where I did; "…for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee,
but my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 6:17, KJV)
Lesson three: Childlike faith is what God wants from us. God has
blessed me with two little faith power houses to help me remember that.
Here's my Vision Board:
