Write the Vision III
June 8, 2010By Joneen Horton

I hope that my last blog post (Write the Vision II, June 4, 2010) helped motivate you to create your vision board.  A quick review of the steps outlined in my last post:

Step one: Pray.

Step two: Gather the materials

Step three: Define the vision board areas.

And let's go forward…

Step four: Search for pictures and phrases.  Take time to reflect on what God has spoken to you.  You may want to jot down a few notes or key words that He has spoken to ease your search.  Be creative!  Don't be limited…if you can't find what you're looking for in magazines, try the internet.  My friend and I created some words and phrases in Word documents.

Step five: Cut and layout your pictures and words, prior to securing them in place.  I recommend placing your name near the top or in the center of your vision board.

Step six: Have fun! Relax and be creative.

Step seven: Display the board in an area where you (and others who support you) can see it often.  Spend time studying your board every day.  The more you meditate on your God given vision the clearer it will become.  You'll begin to change your thinking to line up with His will and in so doing your steps will be ordered by Him (see Proverbs 3:5-6).

If you have any questions, post them here or on Facebook; I'll respond promptly.

Check back in a few days as I share with you my vision board and a few things I’ve learned since displaying it.

Peace.

To provide an understanding of living by faith.
God honors the covenant of marriage and He has shown us repeatedly that He is for us. He has surrounded us with friends, family, Pastors who build us up and encourage us to hold on to the covenant.
The greatest lesson I have learned is; at times I must "Be still, and know that [He is] God: [He] will be exalted among the heathen, [He] will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)
