Are you ready to live a life without limits? I don’t mean a reckless and indulgent life; I’m talking about the God kind of life.
Jesus said in John 10:10 (AMP); "….I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
How do we appropriate this abundant life? Once you have received Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you are a candidate for abundant life. This lifestyle is not automatically granted to you, but it is automatically available to you. There’s preparation necessary.
The first step of preparation is to renew your mind to the will and ways of God. If you take a poor man and give him a million dollars today and say; "now you are rich!” How long will it be before all of his money is gone and he is poor again? Without changing how that man thinks, he can’t be expected to live like a millionaire with a poor man’s mentality. Renewing our mind with the Word regarding how God intends for us to live is the first step.
Secondly, believe. Once you have begun the process of renewing your mind, you have to believe. Reading the Word, but never getting to the point of internalizing and believing the Word is non-productive. You have to read and meditate the Word of God until you unwaveringly believe it. Because what you believe is what you become. Let’s take the poor man example from above. What if he had taken a 12 week – "Think like a Millionaire” course after receiving his million? Would you consider him equipped to handle his money? If at the end of the 12 week course the poor man thought and said; "well, my daddy was poor, my granddaddy was poor, and that’s just my lot in life”; the outcome will be the same. Even though the poor man had been given the "word” and given the wealth, without changing his mindset, what he believes, his destination is still poverty.
Finally, receive. You’ve begun renewing your mind through the Word of God; you believe and now you must receive that which you have believed. If you truly believe, you act out on what you believe. It’s the corresponding action to what you believe that produces the results. Again, using our poor man example; after completing his "Think like a Millionaire” course he is a new man! He says things like; "I’m glad I learned how to think like a millionaire, now I don’t have to live in poverty like my ancestors.” He receives his million dollars and begins to apply wealth building strategies so that he can create generational wealth. He no longer has to be poor, he’s taken the steps to appropriate the life set before him.
Abundant life is available to you. It’s not simply finances but an entire lifestyle designed by God for you. Won’t you invest in yourself and renew your mind, believe and receive the abundant life that Jesus came to give us?
