Why Worry?
April 22, 2009 • By Joneen Horton
Why do we worry? I used to think, "Oh it’s natural to worry.” Natural for who? Shouldn’t be natural for us, we’re children of the Most High God and we live a supernatural life. When I think about it worry has never benefited me. I’ve had tension headaches, backaches, nausea and acid stomach (not sure what that is, but ooh did it hurt!) from worrying, but never relief. Habits are developed after consistently repeating an action for, at minimum, 21 days. I can’t recall when I committed 21 days to worry, but I have decided to commit all my days forward to thanksgiving and praising God. Worry disappears when we focus on Him. To live a supernatural life we have to keep our eyes on our supernatural God.
What do you do to stop worrying?

God honors the covenant of marriage and He has shown us repeatedly that He is for us. He has surrounded us with friends, family, Pastors who build us up and encourage us to hold on to the covenant.
The greatest lesson I have learned is; at times I must "Be still, and know that [He is] God: [He] will be exalted among the heathen, [He] will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)
