I Want to be a Server
March 15, 2009 • By Joneen Horton
We are the Body of Christ, His ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) in the earth. As such, we are all called as ministers. To minister means to serve.
Do you remember what Jesus said to the disciples in Matthew 23:10-12? Though He is Lord, Jesus became as a servant. Likewise, we are to minister to others, to be servants.
To effectively minister to others, you must first minister unto God. Serve God whole heartedly as He guides and directs you. Out of your abundance of service to Him, you will naturally begin to serve others. You see, God is in love with mankind, and His desire is that none should perish, but all come to repentance (Romans 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). As we serve others, we demonstrate God’s goodness

God honors the covenant of marriage and He has shown us repeatedly that He is for us. He has surrounded us with friends, family, Pastors who build us up and encourage us to hold on to the covenant.
