It’s an established principle (like gravity), whether you consciously decide to operate in it or not you will.

How do I operate in seedtime and harvest?

Get the seed - Word of God is seed

·        1 Peter 1:23

·        Matthew 13:3-8, 18-23

·        Mark 4:3-8, 14-20

Good ground – the heart of man is the ground where the Word is planted

Heart does not refer to our physical "pump”, but rather the spirit of man

You can mentally understand something and agree to it but until it is           rooted in your spirit you will not act upon what you have mentally attained.

Plant the seed – plant the Word seed in your heart (ground) through meditation.

Meditate: to murmur, ponder, imagine, speak, study , talk or utter

There are three avenues that will plant the Word into your heart through meditation on the Word

·        Eyes: what you watch (study) will plant seed into your heart.  Are you spending time watching Word based programming? Reading the bible?

·        Proverbs 4:21, 25

·        Ears: what you listen to will plant seed into your heart.  Are you listening to Word based music and conversations? Attending church regularly to hear the Word preached?

·        Mouth: what you say will plant seed into your heart.   Are you saying the Word of God which leads to life or the words of Satan which leads to death?

How do I practically do this?

Example: Diagnosed with cancer

Need: healing in your body

Steps to take:

Get the seed: use a concordance and find scripture(s) on healing

·        1 Peter 2:24

·        Isaiah 53:5

·        Psalms 103:3

Good ground: Be born again then your heart is pliable and ready to receive the seed of God’s Word

·        John 3:5-7

·        Mark 4:11

Plant the seed: begin meditating on the scripture(s) you found on healing

·        Joshua 1:8

Guard your avenues: Eyes, ears and mouth

·        Turn off Lifetime Television put down the romance novel and focus your eyes on the Word via TV (Daystar, The Word Network, The Church Channel, TBN, etc.), your bible and Word based books on healing.

·        This is not the time to listen to sad love songs or other songs that don’t edify you with the Word.   Don’t converse with those who will "talk you into death”.  People who don’t speak God’s Word on healing but rather "oh my mother died of that same type of cancer”.  Find a sister who will say:”God has promised you He would satisfy you with long life, therefore this sickness is not unto death!”

·        Speak the Word. Speak the Truth.  When asked how you are doing, don’t reply with words of death "well you know I’m dying from cancer” NO!  You speak the Truth of God’s Word say: "I’m blessed and healed.”  You speak the Word that has been planted in your heart, not the seeds of fear that have been spoken to you by physicians and others.

Conclusion:

What you see, hear or say in abundance will be planted into your heart and will produce an overwhelming harvest in your life (Matthew 13:31-32).  You determine the type of harvest you will receive based on what seed you choose to plant.  Just as a farmer cannot plant corn seeds expecting to harvest wheat, likewise you cannot plant word seeds of doubt, fear, anger, etc. and expect a harvest of the glory of God, peace and prosperity.  Seedtime and harvest is your life.  You truly can make your way by what you say.
