Title:

Kingdom of God – Prepare to Prosper series

Objective:

To explain the kingdom of God

What:

What is the Kingdom of God?

Kingdom of God: God’s way of doing, His method of operation

Kingdom of God is seedtime and harvest

·        Genesis 8:22

You can apply the law of seedtime and harvest to anything and it will                                                                                                 work the same way.

·        Galatians 6:7-10

·        Luke 6:38

Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed

·        Matthew 13:31-32

The Kingdom may appear to be small and insignificant, as a mustard            seed, yet when it is sown and grown it is a haven for all who seek safety      under its boughs.

Kingdom of God is like a sower who sows seed

·        Matthew 13:24-30

God has sown the seed of Jesus and reaped the harvest of millions of souls from that which was sown (good seed, wheat).  The enemy has sown tares within the wheat (the wicked), but when Jesus returns He will sift the wheat and the tares will be destroyed.

Why:

Why should I understand the Kingdom of God?

As believers, we live in this world, but we are not of this world. We are residents of the kingdom of God and need to learn how to live within His kingdom.

·        Ephesians 2:19 (see also King James Amplified version)

·        Philippians 3:20 ( see also King James Amplified version)

Those in the world are more skilled and wise in their worldly system than most believers are in the kingdom of God system

·        Luke 16:8

·        Colossians 1:9 (see also The Message translation)

The world system may fail, while we are here, we need to know how to survive

·        Matthew 24:6-8

How:

How do I live in the kingdom of God?

Be born again

·        Mark 4:11 ( see also King James Amplified version)

Understand seedtime and harvest

·        Genesis 8:22

Sow the Word of God into your heart

·        1 Peter 1:23

·        Proverbs 4:23

Conclusion:

There are two operating systems which are always functioning, the world’s system and the kingdom of God system.  As believers, we should operate in the kingdom of God, by first educating ourselves in His system.  Understand that the world’s system is everywhere around us, we know how to date according to the standards of the world, we know how to marry and divorce according to the standards of the world, we know how to make money according to the world’s standards.  We have been educated from kindergarten forward on how to live, learn and operate in this world’s system.  Yet, we are chosen to live a supernatural life: one in this world, but not of it.  We must learn, through God’s Word, His kingdom.  Consider it "higher” learning, in order to draw those who are in darkness to Jesus, their salvation.
