Get Your Praise On! A Gift From the Archives: First Appearing in September 2005
September 1, 2005By Shawn Horton

According to Psalms 102:18 and 150:6, we were created to praise Him.  That means, no matter if you feel like it or not, you should continually praise.  Praise causes whatever weight is on you to be lifted and allows clear communication with the Father.  Burdens and yokes can’t stay in the presence of praise. [1]

When you are not weighed down by the cares of this world, you can clearly hear from God.  He wants to keep the lines of communication open.  Isn’t God awesome?  He created us to praise Him and when we do, all of our cares are shed, we communicate with Him directly and we can hear His clear instructions on what to do, where to go, where to sow, etcetera.

No matter what you are going through, there is always a reason to praise Him.  Maybe you don’t have the job you want.  Be thankful and praise Him for the job you do have-their are many who don’t have a job.  Maybe you don’t have the house or car you want, be thankful and praise Him for having a roof over your head, transportation to get back and forth to work and a computer with an internet connection to be reading this article right now!  Please, never say you have no reason to praise God.

If you ever feel lost and as though your line of communication isn’t clear… Praise Him! Praise Him!  Never say you can’t find God, heartfelt praise always ushers you into His presence.  Do what you were created to do and watch God show up and do a mighty work in your life!
