Psalm 133
July 15, 2009By Joneen Horton

1BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body].

3It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly]. (Psalm 133: 1-3, Amplified Bible)

I read this psalm years ago and it stuck with me.  Verse 1 talks about how it is good for brethren (brothers and sisters in Christ) to live in unity.  Unity being in one accord, in agreement, as one; because when that unity is there - so is the anointing (verses 2-3).  Brethren doesn't simply mean those who you attend church with, but every member of the Body of Christ.  Your born-again husband, children, in-laws, friends are all your brother or sister in Christ. When there is agreement between us there is a releasing of the anointing of God.  That helps me to focus on keeping my relationships in tact, cause at the end of the day I need His anointing to do everything in my life.

Each time I read Psalm 91 I am reminded of how much God loves me - all of us. Each time I speak Psalm 91 I am strengthened on the inside to not be fearful.
Just as you know the terms of your auto insurance you should know the terms of Psalm 91. Auto insurance only covers our vehicles, Psalm 91 covers our life.
