What is salvation?

  • Salvation is the first step into the Christian life
  • It begins the process of transformation
  • Does not mean you are perfect, but forgiven
    • Romans 3:23-26

 

Why:

 

Why is salvation important?

·        Life in Christ Jesus sets you free from the law of sin and death

o       Romans 8:2

·        The wages of sin are death.

o       Romans 6:23

 

How:

 

How am I saved?

·        Salvation is in Jesus

o       Acts 4:12

o       John 14:6

·        Repentance

o       1 John 1:9    

·        Confession

o       Romans 10:9-10

·        Believe - have faith

o       John 3:15-16

o       2 Corinthians 5:17

 

 Conclusion:

Now what?

·        Keep your gift of salvation - it’s up to you

·        Renew your mind

o       Romans 12:2

·        Daily diet of the Word - feed your Spirit

o       John 8:31-32

·        Daily diet builds desire

o       1Peter 2:2
